I think we just found out new favorite Mexican restaurant! Popped in here with my three year old for lunch on a Monday afternoon. Ordered the kids burrito ($4.99) and the 2 taco lunch special ($5.99 and opted for the addition of large guac and sour cream for $3). For was served within 10 minutes, portions were gigantic (my son and I would have been good with the tacos!) delicious food, fast and friendly service. 5 stars all the way!!

This isn't the worst place in the entire planet, but in terms of generic Tex-Mex places, it's forgettable. The place is pretty cute actually - in that 'Tex Mex' way. There are bright colors, giant Cholula and Tabasco bottles as pillars. It's bright and happy. That's the best thing about the place. Service was meh - it took awhile to get refills, our waitress would disappear for long times, and it just took awhile to get our check. Everything came out right. The waitresses wear super short booty shorts, some with sweatshirts on top - it's like reverse Hooters. It's weird. The food was somewhere between awful to OK. We got the queso - it was like microwaved process cheese with some tomatoes on top. It was not queso, at least not in a traditional American-ized Mexican sense. It was buttery, never spicy, and pretty awful. The salsa, thankfully, was OK. I got the Key West combo - 4 grilled shrimp (good, cooked to all hell, but pretty good considering!), a fish taco (super bland, dry fish), and a shrimp enchilada (fine, nothing special). The rice tasted microwaved and was hard. I took one bite and was completely done - it was in the realm of the worst rice ever. I can't see a reason to go here other than they have cheap drinks - so this might be a place to be really drunk at if you wanna enjoy the food.

Great Food and the server was spot on with refills on the Margiritias. Loved the outsidr seating and they have their own parking lot so brings some friends.

What a HORRIBLE SERVICE AND FOOD!!!! The appetizer platter was just disgusting I couldn't swallow whatever it was. It takes old and like if it was seating in the freezer for a long time. It was just gross neither the manager or server looked concerned about the matter all he said was "yea it's frozen" seriously? Have some ownership for the restaurant and find the issue and do something about not just agree with the costumes that you are serving shitty food. NEVER COMING BACK rather go to TGIFRIDAYS!

Aside from Italian Mexican is my other all time favorite and this place is awesome all the way around! Delicious food and amazing drink specials! Love the margaritas! They have car shows in the parking lot and throw parties for holidays great place to hang out!!

More like 3.5 stars. Good food, good sevice, good margaritas. It's not the most authentic place, but they have a good variety of food, and lots of veggie and seafood options. I like coming for lunch, quick service and decent prices.

  • Cherir C.

Food is just ok...fast food Mexican type food. The kids meal is a good value. The decor is nice and bar style. I've added a photo of a chandelier made from Corona bottles, worth checking out. The drinks were good, frozen margaritas, piña coladas and corona at our table. The wait staff is friendly and professional. Overall, a good bar and ok food.

I won't lie, I been here plenty of times, but it's not because the food it's particularly good. It's not, have yet to have a decent taco from this place. They're always too wet and the tortilla falls apart. I should just stop ordering them. The rest of the food is ok, nothing special. They do have good specials depending the day of the week you go. Overall an OK place, not authentic at all, but a step up from Chili's

I came here for lunch and the bartender was super nice, she befriended my guest and I and made it a great experience which goes a long way. We ordered food that the bartender recommended and it came out great ! They have lunch cards that are cool too if you need to save money and come here a lot. Quick service, great quality food and affordable selections.

Good food, nice prices and large portions! We received our food quick too. Which I ordered the Coyote. I'll eat there again and hopefully try a nice big margarita next time.

This place has really upgraded the menu or something tonight, or done something new, because the food was delicious. I don't even write reviews. I had ordered the lettuce wraps appetizer to start off the night. Those were scrumptious, a real surprise. I wanted to act like I didn't want to eat it all, so I let my server take the plate away. For my main course I got the mango chicken, with beans and rice. I was really enjoying life. If you go out one night and you're like where the hell should I go randomly tonight. Go here. Shaanslife

I love this place. The atmosphere is very chill and there's music-not extremely loud which is good. Great margaritas. THE very best frozen margaritas ever by far! Food is ok I like the steak fajitas and chicken quesadillas. Also, great wings. Everyone gets free chips with amazing homemade salsa, love those! Again BEST frozen margaritas ever, especially the one in Coral Springs better than Davie location!

  • Rob R.

Wow, the food isn't bad but good luck trying to order because it's 50/50 they get it right the first time. The need to rest add the place.

  • Holly S.

"eh" is how I would describe this place. I'm not really wowed by the food here. I have been on two occasions and both times I left thinking "they could have done so much better". That being said the service has never been an issue . Just the food could use a little more excitement or something.

That's my baby munching on some chips. Server took a little while to get here but once she did everything came pretty fast. Their famous queso is a far cry from famous... Tastes like the nacho cheese you get at the movies. I didn't expect it in lieu of the chips and salsa you normally get, I wanted it in addition to. I asked the server for it and I finished my chips and never got the salsa. Ordered something new, Acapulco chicken, this time as I have never been very impressed with any of my previous selections. My son got the kids chicken quesadillas and I wanted him to veggies with it to add more nutrition to the meal but eating healthy is penalized with an up charge. Which I'm ok with, but it seems like a shame to charge extra for being healthy. My boyfriend ordered a wrap and he also wanted to go healthy but that's met with an up charge too. So it doesn't matter how old you are, if you want heathy get ready to pay for it. Like the atmosphere, nice enough to share with adults or kids!! Server was pleasant as well.

I don't care what anyone says, this place is awesome. Cheap, bomb ass food lol. I rather go here than go t TGIF, which is right next door.

Came on a Saturday afternoon and sat outside. My waitress came immediately! My food came quick as well. I had the chicken quesedilla with a mango margaritas. Oh boy.....the margarita took me to my happy place. Will be returning again. Reasonably priced as well!

It was a great lunch there was good food and service. I have been here before and I am never disappointed, ththe Cesar salad wrap is my favorite. If you are looking for some where new to eat you will love Tijuana taxi co. I like that they serve chips to your table before you eat your meal. My family and I find ourselves there a lot. The atmosphere is nice, the place is also cute they are amazing.

Every Sunday evening you have classic cars you can check out, the you can have some cute girls serving you dinner. Pretty good food as well.

  • Emma D.

The food is inexpensive AND tasty! Decent ambiance .. Food was quick and not messy , had the mango margarita and the key west seafood entree. Lots of beer drinkers there (apparently) they have cheap beer. Friendly people who work & every Sunday they have a car show!

    (3)
  • Brent A.

Cheap, loud, party atmosphere Mexican place. Decent food, almost all entrees are $14. Big bar with dozens of beers. Lots of drinking with a young crowd, although the cheap prices also brings in families and tolerant seniors. If you're looking for a quiet, refined Mexican place with an upscale menu, this isn't it. Tacos, fajitas, ribs. PAR-TAY!

  • Lisa g.

We sat at the bar. Their happy hour appetizers are pretty darn good for the price. The bartenders are friendly. We have been back a couple times just to sit at the bar. We haven't had dinner there yet.

  • Bryan S.

I ordered my food by phone and picked it up. I was expecting to have complimentary chips with my order but the manager said I have to spend 30 dollars to get chips. But he did say that I can dine in by myself with the bill being under 30 dollars and I can get free chips. That makes so much sense! Lol Sorry but the management is not that great here. This type of service does not make me want to come back.

  • Josh M.

After reading all the negative reviews I admit I was afraid to come. The service was OK. The food tastes ok but made me incredibly sick. We had a different waitress because the other one was too busy texting to take care of the patrons. I am not planning on coming back anytime soon.

  • Brandon S.

Been here a few different times.. always had a nice experience. Food is great. Drinks arent anything special but are good.

    (4)
  • Aaron L.

Good food, fun atmosphere, and the margaritas are awesome. It's a great place to take kids or large groups. The only things keeping me from giving 5 stars is that their menu is a little uninspired and their service can be inconsistent.

Hi Greg, I had made a reservation through you for last Wed. at 7PM. It was for 9 people and we asked for a large booth or table. When we arrived at 6:50 you were not present, but the reservation was in the book. We waited at least 45 minutes to be seated and had children and a disabled person as our guests. We finally got seated at the table in front of the bar, and it was very annoying to have people on top of you who were standing around at the bar. On top of that problem we waited a long period of time for the food, and when it did arrive all the sides were COLD. The server vanished and we could not find anyone to help us. It was only as I was leaving that I saw the male person in charge, I forgot his name. MANAGER ON DUTY... He said I should have sent the food back but I told him there was nobody around. I selected your restaurant as it is a place my grandchildren enjoy when they are down visiting. We have not had any bad experiences in the past but maybe the fact that it was a party of nine that caused the problem. In any case I wanted to bring this to your attention. Is there anything you can do to rectify this problem? Thank you,

Tijuana taxi is a great spot with good eats for a decent price. Service is hit or miss, I went to get a pasta dish I had a few months back that is only on the lunch menu and it wasn't as good as I remembered, but was cheap and cheerful.

  • Tom S.

We ate at the bar this past Saturday. Service was not good. Straight up margarita was little over half full. Bartenderess exlaination was that they measure all liqour! Ok, but what about using enough mix to fill the glass? Asked for 3 waters. Had to ask again ( she forgot, they were not slammed, plenty of time to chat with guys at other end of bar). While this was happening I observed the manager standing in the middle of the dining room texting. !? Nachos with ground beef were okay. Most if the meat was buried at the bottom middle of the plate. We ate at same place last year and it was good. Think we'll try another place.

  • Gee G.

1st and last time I never plan to return. Our service just frankly sucked. The food was greatly lacking and the table and floor were sticky. Nothing more to say, just eww.

    (1)
  • Ed R.

I really like the place and food. But the service can be hit or miss. If the owner is there everything is good. If he is gone the servers attentiveness drops. We have been going there for years. The ribs on Wednesday and Thursday are a bargain. It is reasonably priced and even cheaper when they have specials. There is usually a short wait to get seated which does not create any inconvenience.

  • David B.

What's not to love? Cheap beer and decent food. The beer is super inexpensive and you can't go wrong with the quesadilla it's delicious. Looking for a quick trip to tipsy? Drink their monster margarita

Love this place! Food is always good, everything is fresh and tasty. Hubby always gets the Palomilla Steak, which is one of their best Sellers....or one of their nice sized burritos! I love the Jumbo Chicken Chop with Tamale cakes on the side. Friendly staff, great draft beer and daily specials for food and drinks! Kitchen is open late too.

  • Adam S.

My wife and I and our son went here earlier this evening and used to love this place. However the place is not the same as it used to be. The salsa that came with the chips was bland and watery. The staff seemed more interested in standing in the corners talking amongst themselves instead of helping the customers. Our waitress was one of those people described above. The food was mediocre at best and I was sad to see they no longer give you the souvenir cups they used to give out. However the fried ice cream was very good but smaller than it used to be. Also the waitress put the check on the table as we were eating the desert and said to take your time but to me that's really saying to hurry up and pay so you can leave I hate when places do that. She also did not ask for my I.D, as it says to do so on the back of my card. Place also did not look very clean I didn't get sick but think the health dept should check the place out. Don't think I'll go back anytime soon.

Decent, not the best. Hooters style waitresses. Cool decor, food was good but not outstanding. Would go back, though.

All i can say is this is my favorite restaurant in springs! Corn tamales. Woah. Jumbo chicken chop. Woah. Ribs. Woah. I literally havent ordered one bad thing there. My sister got the fajitas and they looked fab. Service is great. Our favorite waitress is erica! She always takes good care of us. Must try if youre a mexican fan.

Been going there for over 5 years. Last sat night me n the wife went there with my friend and his wife. I ordered vodka on the rocks. When we got the bill I noticed they charged me 1.50 extra diet each vodka I got. When I asked the waitress about it she replied thats what we charge for vodka on the rocks. It's for a extra pour. I said but I didnt ask for a xtra pour. She states that is how it comes. When I spoke to the manager he told me the same thing. I stood there and debated with him for several minutes, telling him I didnt ask for a extra pour. I said thats a Bullshit charge your charging me for something I didnt order. He told me everybody charges like that. I told him Bullshit cause I was at bj brewhouse the night before and drank the same thing and was not charged any extra and the same with Brus room. He continued to tell me I was wrong. I told him he was a asshole and a horrible manager. It was not about the 1.50 extra per drink at this point it was the principal of charging me for something I didnt order. Basically telling me its not up to me how I want my drink. With all that being said I told him thats a pathetic way to do business and it shows that brus rm and bj brewhouse must be hurting your business if your hitting people up with those bs charges. I will never go there again.

One of my favorite places to have a drink and watch a sporting event. Is usually i good crowd. The food is pretty good and prices are reasonable. The ladies behind the bar are gorgeous and friendly, and always remember my name... Looking forward to going back real soon for a nice cold beer : )

    (5)
  • Joseph R.

Too me, its the best mexican in town. The Chicken Parm quesadilla is amazing. My lady loves the Enchilada. Overall, this place is good and cheap, and close to the Coral Square Mall.

We've been going to Tijuana since the day it opened. (Marino's used to be there.) The food and the service are always just right. Over the years we've had a couple rude servers but that happens anywhere you go if you visit often enough. Our handicapped daughter Jessica, is welcomed and known by almost every server at Tijuana. The price is right for our family, and we'd recommend just about every dish on the menu. A big hello to Sammy and Jessica at the bar, Erika, Misty, and all of the great staff at Tijuana. Oh last week when we went we ordered our salmon well done but it came out still flapping on the plate. Sometimes you wonder if the cook does that on purpose. (at any restaurant) But when we called the manager over he looked at it and fully agreed it was still alive. He threw it on the grill, in a few minutes it returned cooked to perfection. He also gave us two free drink tickets. That was a nice gesture on his part. Highly recommend Tijuana for food, fun, holiday parties - Halloween, New Years, weekend car shows, NFL football, St. Patricks day. A great place to go. Oh and I forgot about rib night, the place is packed.

Tijuana Taxi co in the coral square mall plaza is HORRIBLE OVER ALL. i have been there twice and both times we got the worst service. The server have the worst attitudes ever! they quickly forget they work on tips. the first time i went we had showed up two hour before closing and sat out side. the girls we cleaning the tables and started to pressure us to finish so they can close early. one of the girl literally started talking shit about my group of friends with another co worker. second time i showed up again we sat outside in a six person table. the waitress asked repeatedly if we were sure we had other guest coming and then left. when she got back i asked about the beer specials before ordering food. the girl seemed to recognize me and proceeded to give attitude again. the only reason i stayed was because my friends where hungry. we ordered food and when the plate can out it was the lousiest Mexican food i have ever seen and tasted. i had order the enchilada and instead of enchilada sauce on my enchilada it almost tasted like bbq sauce. i could go on and rant on all the details of this night. but just take my word for it . don't eat or have drinks in this place

  • Tania G.

ever wonder what a Mexican version of Hooters would look like? well, look no further. you get complimentary chips and salsa, which is definitely a + the egg rolls reminded me of those from chilis. they were good but not insanely good. the chicken quesadilla had a nice surprise- the onions were caramelized which really changed the flavor of the quesadilla, in a good way that is! it brought a sweetness that was...memorable. the service was fast and friendly. we asked for a side of sour cream and the waitress told us it was extra, which was fine, but i like that she made it a point to say it. i hate when other restaurants don't tell you then smack it on your bill. a solid Mexican food joint if you're in the area.

Great prices for good food. Steak fajitas was cooked to perfection and it was a generous serving. Service is always good!

  • Debora V.

This place is the BEST! Hands Down! We discovered this place last year after we had a not so pleasant insistent at another sports bar. We actually came here during the day for lunch and were hooked. The food is always fresh, delicious and large portions. They have the best house margaritas! The only over place that has beaten them in margaritas is La Bambas. But regardless if you want Cheap beer this is your spot! They have $1.89 in draft. They always show all the UFC fights and it's never overly packed. Service is always great! It is out Go To place. Have recommended many people to come here and they all loved it! Don't be let down by those crapy reviews.

This place is so filthy. I got sick twice after eating at the other Tijuana Taxi in Davie so I tried this one with my bf. We were sitting at the bar and a cockroach fell on me from the ceiling! Disgusting!

  • Ilona P.

This was my 2nd time here and I was disappointed again. I had the Enchiladas Pueblo with chicken and a large mixed margarita. The chicken was very dry and tasted like it had freezer burn. The refried beans had no flavor at all so after the first bite I just scraped them off of my plate. The service was ok, I did enjoy the drink and the $34 bill was tolerable. I won't be back there anytime soon.

This place has great food great price with a friendly staff. Awesome food and drink specials. Huge menu at a great price.

    (5)
  • Nick A.

Eating food should be the 10th reason you come here. It's a watering hole: good happy hour, trying to bring home stumblers, and kicking your crappy game to waitresses are the priorities & Tijuana is best enjoyed if u follow those rules. Once your plastered then its ok to eat the free chips & cheesy food, I'm sure it'll be the best meal of your life under those circumstances Stay far far away on karaeoke night

    (2)
  • Leo S.

I am not a big Mexican food eater so why am I eating at a Mexican restaurant , because they make the best hamburgers around . I have taken manny friends and made believers out of them. The bartenders are very friendly the service is very good and best of all the prices are very reasonable. I highly reccomand Tijuana Taxi for a great night out

I had an issue with the service, and I had to speak with the Owner/Manager: Greg Silverthorne. He demonstrated not only he does not care about his clients, but also he returned food from the table, to the kitchen. Despite the fact I told him about I was diabetic, he responded that "this is not a hospital"... what a level of management? The food is not great; it is only cheap... I go to J.Marks, PF Chang's and Chilli's; for my everyday lunch, and/or dinner. I have never encountered such an unqualified manager, anywhere but in Tijuana Taxi. This restaurant, can not be compared with any other. If the Owner/Manager Greg Silverthorne behaves like this, I am pretty sure his partners are as terrible as him; and therefore his employees. And I used to take 52 people, every quarter, to the Tijuana Taxi - Plantation Store, for employee celebration. Now, I will not go to this store, neither with my employees, neither my self or friends. If his attitude can reflect the quality of his interactions with his most precious asset: his regulars, I wonder the quality of the processes and the food. I am pretty sure, the health department, should stop by and review the quality of the food; and for all that read this, I don't think anyone should reward bad customer service, and go to other restaurants; in the area.

Eh, it's not a place I'd avoid, but it's also not a place I'd go out of my way for. The food is decent and the service is either average or meh. I don't know, it's just "average" for that type of restaurant and in that price range.

    (3)
  • Noelle M.

Lackluster food, average service. Went for lunch on a weekend and it wasn't crowded but the waitress seemed barely attentive. The complimentary chips and salsa are ok for them to be free, except the salsa is too watery and peppery for my liking. I ordered the grilled steak fajita sandwich and my mother had the crab nachos. I didn't try the crab nachos, but I was told there was nothing special about them. The steak fajita sandwich, however, was a long way from decent. It looked great when it arrived, but the steak was flavorless and overcooked, making it almost impossible to eat. I second all of the comments about this being a Hooters with a Mexican flare. The prices are good, but there is nothing else to lure me back.

    (2)
  • jane p.

I had to go here for a happy hour and it was so bad...again. How do you mess up a quesadilla (and I ordered it thinking it was a safe bet)?! My beer from a bottle was good though.

    (1)
  • Gio L.

Advertised by the name you might think you are getting Mexican food. It is south Florida, so they try, but it is not Mexican. Mexican American, yes. Some items are good, just don't expect chips and salsa or tacos like So Cal. My favorite here is the skirt steak salad. Fair price, great meal.

    (3)
  • Daniel B.

Kind of a Hooters environment. Good burgers. Nothing very special but okay for a night when you don't want to cook!

    (3)
  • Anthony R.

Went there yesterday for lunch with a friend. We had a burrito plater. It was good with plenty of food. The best part is the chips brought to your table prior to your food arriving. The service was good and friendly. I think the prices are a little high, however you can live with it.

    (3)
  • Gustavo Q.

Large portions. Ok price. Kinda like a mexican hooters.

    (4)
  • Wendy E.

Overpriced! This is a place that you go to drink and that's it. The food lacks flavor and the hostesses are rude. They don't even acknowledge you when you walk in. They just stare and go back to gossiping with each other. I ordered tacos to-go once and the girl on the phone was rude and unhelpful in telling me the specials. When I got the tab, 5 tacos a la carte cost $16 which to me is a rip-off. The second time I went, I sat outside with a friend but the hostesses didn't even greet us at the door. I had to ask them if I could grab a table outside. My friend ordered a fried ice cream and spit it out it was so bad. Luckily they took it off the tab. Overhyped

Decor adequate ... Food Quality & Service Very Poor! This restaurant is indeed in need of a new management team that can teach wait staff that their job does not entail congregating in the far corners of the restaurant for the purposes of socializing with each other. Wait staff should also be well versed with the menu instead of having to say "let me ask someone" and then not returning for several minutes only to have forgotten to ask the question which required their absence to begin with. Honestly, I've had tacos and sides from Taco Bell which matched the quality of the Mexican dinner which was ordered for far less money and aggravation. The only redeeming quality were the warm chips served with Salsa that were delivered to our table just minutes before our entrees. As it was our first visit to this restaurant we were unaware that our waitress should have brought this appetizer out freely and took note only when we observed other patrons arriving and being served shortly thereafter. Needless to say, we had to ask our waitress for the chips and salsa which of course interrupted a conversation that she was having with other staff. On a scale of 1 to 5 the Tijuana Taxi Co. earns a well deserved zero (0).

  • Nicole T.

I have been to this restaurant frequently since it is right up the road from my house, but the more I go, the less I want to return. It has a fun, laid-back atmosphere inside and a nice outdoor seating area, but sometimes it gets too crowded, especially on holidays like St. Patty's and Cinco de Mayo. When I went for both events, there was a cover charge and all the drinks were overpriced. Usually it is the other way around, more specials and deals for holidays and events. Also, there is not really a diverse crowd so there is no opportunity to meet new people. The food is pretty good though for Mexican. The complimentary chips and salsa are always fresh, and the entrees are affordable. Maybe I should take a break and revisit it a few months from now when I am really craving some Mexican cuisine at a decent price.

I had heard good things about this place as a family restaurant so I took my 12 year old daughter here for her birthday dinner. As soon as we were seated, my 16 year old daughter said "wow, this is mexican hooters". Seriously, the shorts were so short you could see their fallopian tubes. So if you like that kind of restaurant, check it out. That aside, our party of 7 was seated promptly (hooray) and we waited 13 minutes before a waitress walked by and said, "have you been helped?". I told her "no" and 7 minutes later we were greeted by our waitress. The Food? The free salsa that comes with your free chips tasted like watery tomato sauce... nasty stuff. The tacos, fajita, fish tacos, and ribs that we ordered were delicious and hot- well done! Too bad for the other stuff because the entrees were good. Not a horrible experience, but with so many other choices in the area, we will not bother to go back.

The food is hit or miss, depending on what you order. I like the Tamale cakes and the chicken wings.

Unlike others, I enjoy this restaurant. I haven't found many good mexican restaurants in the area. It was described as a mexican Hooters which I don't have a problem with : ) Summer is a sweetheart and the other waitstaff has always been nice. Overall, I've enjoyed my visits and the food.

Came here at night, definitely a good place to hang out with friends and knock down some Coronas. Food isn't too bad, I had the Steak and Mushroom Quesadilla, again not bad and overall satisfying but nothing too special.

This was my 3rd time at Tijuana Taxi. I tried for the first time their Taxi Tea (like a long island but with Patron Anjeo only, yum). I had the Mahi fish tacos which were awesome!! I actually really liked the refried beans that came with the meal. Most places you don't see beans and at TT you can tell what you are eating and its very tasty! The salsa/chips that comes FREE to the table are so good. So unique to what you usually expect when you go out for mexican. You can tell the tomatos are fire roasted and it is very thick and chunky, which I love. Usually you get the more liquidy/watery version of salsa but not here. The mango salsa that came on the fish tacos was very bland and added no flavor what so ever, just a little crunch. Luckily I ordered some yummy guac on the side and some hot sauce fixed my tacos right up. Their version of hot poppers "firecrackers" were ok nothing special, I only mention them because they serve it with a raspberry sauce, something I love and most places don't serve it. Overall my husband and I really love this place. Great drinks and prices awesome food, friendly atmosphere. Servers are slow as ppl have mentioned but I've seen worse and in SoFlo the service usually sucks unless you go to a really good place i.e. not a mexican bar/grill lol.

Moving to Florida from California, I love Mexican Food. And while this restaurant doesn't have an extensive list of authentic Mexican food, what it does list is great Mexican food. Its actually great that they do have other non-Mexican items, because, although I'm shocked by it, there are a lot of people here who aren't fans of Mexican food.. They have a burrito carne asada that I love. The staff are always courteous.I have four children and we normally go with a few friends. We either sit at one of their larger booths, but because we aren't picky, if they are full, they happily move tables around and make something work for us. That being said, they have AMAZING specials on certain nights. Buy a meal for an adult, get a kid's meal for $1.00. And, the kids meals are FULL meals. I never feel like I am under-served here. We always leave with to-go boxes! They have different little events going on different nights. Like a car show, or karaoke, etc. Its always fun, we're always comfortable, and we're always satisfied!

This place gets a 5 star review for fun not food, although some of the food is very yummy. Tijuana Taxi is like your favorite bar back in college; cheap and obnoxiously fun. Happy hour is Thursday and there are good beer/shot specials and karaoke. This place is like the tv show "Cheers" you get the best experience if you are a regular and regular means you visit twice a week on average. On Fridays the place gets no-elbow-room packed at 11 so get there early or you'll have to sit outside. *During the day this place is family friendly and deceptively calm. My advice: never ever order lemon-aide. smh never! . Dont take your children here at night. A drunk girl might vomit or step on them! Also be sure to stop by for Tijuana's annual Halloween and St. Patrick's Day block parties. Costumes are a must!

Calling Gordon Ramsay... This was our first time at the local Tijuana Taxi Co. in Coral Springs,Fl. and it will be our LAST!! First ,the chips & salsa came out & the salsa was like "no other",it actually taste like Cocktail sause! Then we were served our meals,my husbands Shrimp dinner was dried out as if it had previous "freezer burn"...and I can tell you right up front, there is Nothing authentic about their Mexican dishes!! I explained to our 17 yr. old waitress that we were extremly disatisfied with our food and the poor quality...she said that she would pass this along to her manager and did nothing about it.When they start hiring people with a brain, they will listen to what the costomer has to say.Perhaps the place could use a good scrubdown as well.I see what others mean by a "Mexican Hooters" they seem only to concentrate on the sale of drinks...to hell with the food quality!!

I'm not a huge fan of Mexian food, but that's okay, because this place isn't a Mexican joint, despite its name. I've been here a few times and have had mixed experiences. The last time I came here with my family and a friend, we picked this place because every other restaurant in town had a 45+ minute wait. There was no wait here, which should tell you something. The food is usually pretty decent. The skirt steak is rather good but the grilled chicken dishes are dry. The kids meals are about the same as anywhere else. The french fries are pretty darn good. The atmosphere is fun and relaxing and the service is pretty good. The servers (all female) wear short shorts and show a lot of cleavage, so be careful and keep your eyes on the menu. The prices are just okay and you get what you pay for here. If you're willing to spend $5-6 more per person, go across the street to El Mariachi, which is authentic and truly very good.

Wow...this place is really bad! The service was good, but it went downhill from there. The food was way too salty and not flavorful at all. I got the fish tacos (the fish is lightly fried) and I could tell the oil in the fryer hadn't been changed in a long time when I got my order. My husband (who is an Executive Chef, has helped open restaurants in Miami, New Orleans, and Fort Lauderdale) couldn't stomach the food. He wrote an email to the corporate office nicely explaining his disappointment, and not even a response! It is so unprofessional! DON'T GO HERE!!! FOOD IS AWFUL!!!

I used to enjoy the restaurant but recently the food has been "ehhh" and the waitresses have been lacking.

We would always come here for drinks as a kind of local hang out spot. The prices are pretty cheap for the bars in Florida. The food is good (great if you are drinking alcohol). The service, however, can get a little lax. Maybe it was because we were regulars and they thought that they didnt have to be as quick with us, but it was almost as if we had to run them down, especially on the weekends. By the way, this place is a mad house at the bar on the weekends. Dont plan on getting your drinks quick. If you do get a chance to order, order for your whole party or two for yourself.

Yes, this place is a Mexican version of Hooters. Beautiful ladies serving with a more festive atmosphere. The food was great, but pricy. Our server was very nice and we had a great time. I would recommend this place just as I would Hooters. If you love great Mexican food and enjoy more of a party feel than a restaurant, you have to check this place out. You'll pay for the eye candy, but that's part of its charm.

I always order the "Baja Fish Wrap Grilled fresh dolphin, shredded cabbage, guacamole, cilantro, fontina cheese and our secret sauce. Served with French fries." One of the best wrap I have ever had and not to mention their huge margaritas. The ambient is very nice and the service is good.

Great drink specials, and the quesadillas are the best I've had. It's a solid atmosphere and the waitresses are pretty good looking.

Overpriced taco bell. Im not really into mexican food but I know this is not it. I would almost swear they use the exact same ground beef seasoning as taco bell but it costs so much more.

Looking for cheap, tasty meal with your family or large group? This is the place to go. The atmosphere is little too much associated around the bar, but nevertheless, the decorations and moving Mariachi men are great fun and keep the kids interested. A word of advice: don't expect authentic food walking into this restaurant, it is the epitome of Americanized Mexican food, but a few notches above Taco Bell. The price point is perfect at around $10 dollars a person. Give it a try!

Well my earlier reviews rated this as a decent place but two recent experiences require a further downgrade. I recently got the fish tacos, and despite being fried they came out smelling like a New York City restaurant dumpster in August. Before i could say anything, the person sitting across from me asked why the place smelled like garbage all of a sudden. This item was so gross it should not have gone into the fryer, should not have left the kitchen, and if it did, the waitress should have noticed it and turned right around. This is now the second failure I have experienced in food prep at this location (see review on wings, prior). I'm now afraid to go back.

This is a fun place recommended to me by a co-worker. I had a hard time rating the food for this place. On the one hand, it was the best Tex-Mex style Mexican food I've had in So. Florida, and probably deserves 4 stars. On the other hand, it would just be run-of-the-mill in either Texas or California. The biggest disappointment was with the margaritas (on the rocks). I had three of them in a fairly short amount of time, say, 30minutes. The flavors were good, but they did nothing for me, so I may as well have been drinking lime-ade. This was unfortunate because that seems to be a pretty major selling point for the place and had they been good, I might have recommended it for a happy hour. If I went back, I'd probably just get beer. I will probably go back the next time I'm craving Mexican food.

I recommend the carne asada texas burrito. The beef is seasoned perfectly. It is not fatty at all- i will pick my burrito appart to look for fat and there was none! Truly enjoyable meal. The chips and salsa at the beginning of the meal were fresh and tasty. Pricing is reasonable. The decor is fun and on pointe. I definately want to go there and check out happy hour and order some drinks- at the time i was with my friend and her little sister so there was no drinking! Some of the best Mexican food I have had in South Florida.

This may very well be the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever had the misfortune to visit. First, calling it a Mexican restaurant is a bit of a stretch, considering that its menu included such authentic Mexican dishes as a french dip, a hot sicilian sandwich, buffalo wings, french fries, cajun pasta, hamburgers and a gyro. However, they attempt to overcompensate for these shortcomings with ridiculously tacky and over-the-top stereotypical (some might even say offensive) Mexican decorations. Regardless, after finding something on the menu that actually appeared to be Mexican food, I ordered a beef enchilada. Not good, not good at all. This was a little while ago, and I am in some serious discomfort right now, but I didn't want to wait to type this, as I think it is important to warn everyone as soon as possible about this horrible restaurant. Avoid it at all costs. Also, if you are in the area and looking for actual Mexican food, El Mariachi is only about a block away and is much, much better than this abomination.

Ordered a burrito and was pleased. It was pretty big and filling. Also the chips and salsa at the beginning were good. Food came fast and girls were short shorts lol. Coming in next time for the ribs

CHECK YOUR BILL Bar service and the food was great, and the many times we have been we have had no complaints. However, we have recently noticed a line item on our bills labeled (Rounding). When asked about this extra charge I was told I had to speak to a manager. The manager said it was a convenience charge so he didn't have to deal with pennies. When asked to remove the charge he rolled his eyes and said, "why don't I just give you a dime and you pay it". Shady business practices are going on here...check your bill and hope you don't have to deal with management.

Good food. Good service. Lively atmosphere. They start you off with chips and salsa. They had pretty good drink specials. The queso was good but would have been better without the cilantro. The chicken fajitas came out steaming hot and were very good. The southwest chicken quesadilla was also very good... And different. It came with BBQ sauce and some type of chili sauce. The food came out quick, and the prices were very reasonable.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
